Meg never disappoints us with her quilts - here is her latest creation - quilted using our new quilting frame of course.
This is Yvonnes finished quilt, the quilting was done using our new quilting frame. Looks great doesn't it? Check out the quilting detail on the back of the quilt.
Christmas Stocking Tutorial
Cute "His and Hers" Christmas stocking tutorial.
Ingredients
- One Figgy Pudding Jelly Roll by Basic Grey
- Two, 1/2 yard pieces of coordinating fabric.
- Two, 1/2 yard pieces of coordinating fabric.
- One 20" x 20" piece of light weight batting.
Two Super Cute His and Her Scrappy Christmas Stockings. The finished size of this stocking is approximately 6" x 15". This is a smaller stocking (that's just what I grew up with) so, if you like big ones you will need to adjust the pattern accordingly. You may need more like 3/4 of a yard of coordinating fabric and a few extra strips of the Jelly Roll. If you used your whole jelly roll, you can actually get 16 stockings because you can get 4 our of every ten strips. Just remember that you need a half yard of coordinating fabric for each stocking.
Just click on the photo for the pattern and instructions.

"I Spy" Quilt
As a result of our exhibition in May, a lovely young Mum requested our former member Barbara Charter to make this "I Spy" quilt for her son Benjamin, she came and collected it a couple of weeks ago. Benjamin was with her, very shy at first but beaming from ear to ear as he drove off in the car seat with this across his legs. The layout will be recognised as we did some Heart quilts for AQs this way not too long ago. Just click on the picture for a full screen view of the quilt .
